If you’re the one everyone leans on, the holidays can feel like your busiest—and loneliest—season. Holding it all together is exhausting. Even the strong ones need rest.
You don’t always have to be the planner, the fixer, or the emotional support system. Let others show up—or let the task go undone. Release the pressure to be perfect.
Give yourself permission to:
– Say no to things that drain you
– Ask for help without apology
– Rest without earning it
You are not failing by taking a break. You’re being human. Your strength isn’t in how much you carry—it’s in your willingness to care for yourself too.
This season, let rest be your resistance. You deserve it.
Wisdom to Carry with You
- For the strong friend the holidays can be a busy and lonely time of year.
- This holiday season ask for help, take a break and remember you don’t always have to be the one to fix things.
- Embrace rest ad let it be your resistance.
