“I don’t have to earn rest.”
When to Use It:
When you feel guilty taking a break, when your productivity defines your worth, or when burnout is creeping in.
How to Use It:
- Say it out loud before logging off from work.
- Write it on a sticky note and place it where you tend to overwork (computer, kitchen, etc.).
- Use it as a journaling prompt: “What does rest mean to me without guilt?”
Why It Helps:
This affirmation interrupts the moment where you feel your productivity equates to your worth. And it promotes sustainable self-care. Rest is not a reward; it’s a right.
